A long time ago...year 2008. The Malecón is a broad esplanade, roadway and seawall which stretches for 8 km (5 miles) along the coast in HavanaCuba,from the mouth of Havana Harbour in Old Havana. Havana then was still relatively protected from the tourist eyes. Wonder how is it now. A visit is being scheduled next year.
I love these photographs. Taken hastily from a moving 1950's cabriolet Chevrolet, I spotted the 3 boys running in wild abandon along the very narrow sea wall.  Sitting on the same sea wall was an obese man. The man gives the boys a look. In that split second the look the man gave spoke a thousand words... I was once like this..
