being in the now and simplicity

in my often futile seach for the ever so misunderstood simplicity, I am challenged by contradictions. To be in the here and now the mind has to be "frozen". To use a more brutal word killed!...I want simplicity....yet I also want a blackbird CRX1100xx !!! ha ha...Contadictions or only apparent contradictions...hmmmm.....
